Katherine and Gavin’s wedding day on June 28, 2025 was the kind that feels effortlessly joyful from beginning to end. Set against the charming backdrop of a white barn in Oakland, Maryland, their celebration unfolded under a bright, cloudless sky. It was a hot summer day—full sun, warm air, and that unmistakable golden glow that makes everything feel a little more magical.

What stood out most wasn’t just the beautiful weather, but the energy surrounding them. Every guest present had clearly walked alongside Katherine and Gavin in some chapter of their journey, and that deep sense of love and support carried through every moment of the day.

One of the best decisions they made was sharing a first look before the ceremony. It allowed them to move through portraits quickly and smoothly, capturing a wide variety of images without feeling rushed. That extra breathing room between events made the entire day feel relaxed and intentional.

Because of their thoughtful timeline, Katherine and Gavin were able to spend the second half of cocktail hour exactly where they wanted to be—right alongside their guests, soaking in the celebration. Meanwhile, a live guitarist set the tone during cocktail hour, creating a laid-back, elegant atmosphere that transitioned seamlessly into an unforgettable reception. As the sun began to dip, a live band took over, filling the barn with energy and keeping the dance floor alive all night long. They were sent off with the glow of sparklers and the cheers of their guests outside the reception space.
